आज हम Article(a,an,the ) का प्रयोग करना सीखेगे|

1) Use of articles –
a,an और the ये आर्टिकल्स होते हैं।
a और an को indefinite article और the को definite article कहते है।
ध्यान रखें-
Articles वास्तव में demonstrative adjective होते है।
सामान्य रूप से article का प्रयोग Common Noun के पूर्व होता है।
उदाहरण-
A Cow is an animal.
An owl is a bird.
The dogs are barking.
The book is on the table.
Here is an egg.
This is a pencil.
2) A का प्रयोग-
A का प्रयोग व्यंजन ध्वनि (consonant) से प्रारंभ होने वाले एक वचन COUNTABLE NOUN से पहले किया जाता है।
She is a girl.
Ram is a boy.
A Horse is running.
You have a cow.
Do you know a history of India?
Keep in mind-
Countable nouns वे संज्ञाएं हैं जिनकी गणना की जा सकती है।
उदाहरण- a chair, a boy
3) An का प्रयोग-
An का प्रयोग स्वर ध्वनि (Vowel) sound से प्रारंभ होने वाली एक वचन संज्ञा के पूर्व होता है।
a,e ,I,o,u यह अंग्रेजी में 5 स्वर (vowel)है इनको छोड़कर बाकी Constonant होता है।
उदाहरण-
You have an apple.
They have an ink pot॰
An elephant is running on the road.
Do you have an ox?
Can you give me an umbrella?
4) A और An के कुछ अपवादित उदहारण-
I have a useful metal॰
Mumbai is a University॰
University और useful शब्द व्यंजन ध्वनि यू (you) दे रहे हैं जबकि इनका पहला अक्षर u एक स्वर (vowel) है। इसीलिए इन के पहले a का प्रयोग किया गया।
Atul is an honest person.
I will go there within an hour.
यहां h silent है। आनेस्ट (honest) उच्चारण किया जा रहा है न कि होनेस्ट। इसीलिए an का प्रयोग किया गया है।
ध्यान देने वाली बात यह है कि a और an का प्रयोग करते समय शब्दों के उच्चारण पर भी ध्यान देना चाहिए कि केवल स्वर और व्यंजन वाले वर्ण पे।
5) The का प्रयोग-
जब किसी Noun से निश्चित भाव प्रकट हो या जिस Noun का वर्णन हो चुका हो तो उससे पहले the का प्रयोग होता है।
This is the school where we read॰
The book you purchased is good.
Lets go to the club.
i) जब किसी एकवचन संज्ञा से संपूर्ण जाति का बोध हो तो इससे पहले the का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Do not insult the poor॰
The dog is faithful animal.
ii) नदी, समुद्र, पहाड़ ,खाड़ी, द्वीप ,समूह, राष्ट्र जहाज ,सूर्य, चांद ,आकाश ,पृथ्वी तथा पुस्तकों के नाम से पहले दा का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
The Himalaya is mountain.
The Earth revolves around the sun.
The moon is beautiful.
The Indian Ocean is great.
The Ramayana is great epic.
iv) Superlative degree के पहले the का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Hari is the best boy in the class.
Newton was one of the greatest scientist.
Mahesh is one of the popular doctor in his area.
v) जब किसी proper NOUN से पहले किसी Adjective का प्रयोग किया जाता है तो इससे पहले the का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
The great Akbar॰
The famous revolution॰
the Brave Indira Gandhi॰
vi) जब school, hospital Church, College ,court का प्रयोग संबंधित उद्देश्य के बारे में सोच कर किया जाता है तो इनसे पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता है।
We go to church every Sunday॰
School begins at 7:30.
He remained in hospital for five weeks.
